We must oppose Gender Identity Ideology because of the harm it is doing to civil rights and children’s lives. But there’s also another reason to oppose it. We have important work to do on environmental and other fronts, and Gender Ideology undercuts that work. It stymies our ability to build the powerful solidarity-infused fact-based movement we need for system change.
Gender Ideology normalizes suppression, and that undercuts all of our work.
When people can have their livelihoods destroyed, their bank accounts closed, their children taken from them, and more, for speaking up, dissent is crushed. This sort of suppression is happening in other realms as well, but the breadth of its occurrence in the name of Gender Identity is breath-taking. It affects large swaths of the population. Turning a blind eye to mob- and Big-Tech-enforced tyranny of this sort ensures that it will spread. Our ability to address the other pressing issues of our day will be stymied as it does.
It should also be noted that those who are silenced on Gender Identity issues are silenced on the other things they work on as well. Individuals kicked off social media platforms for their gender critical views can no longer comment or post there on issues like war, poverty, and climate change. Similarly, gender critics are regularly banned from giving presentations on other topics on college campuses and elsewhere.
Gender Ideology steers people away from the work we should be doing and the solidarity we need to do it.
It teaches that liberation and human advancement are achieved through individuals focusing on long-term self-improvement projects: figuring out their gender identity; declaring and enforcing pronouns; going through the stress, discomfort and health impacts of medically “aligning” their body with their “identity”; and fighting for the ability to enter spaces and do other things reserved for the opposite sex. Allies focus on supporting individuals in these narcissistic endeavors.
Gender Ideology also encourages a cancel culture mindset. It labels those who challenge that ideology as “bigots”, “transphobes” and “hateful.” And it declares that they are to be avoided at all costs and certainly never listened to.
All of this is the opposite of what we desperately need at this point in human history. The gap between rich and poor grows bigger every day. Billions of people face financial insecurity and even starvation, despite ample resources to enable all to live well. Wars rage in many lands and the threat of nuclear war is constant. Humanity faces multiple ecological crises: global warming, loss of pollinators, crashing fish populations, and more. But the shots are being called by the 1% — actually the 1% of the 1% — the very few individuals who own most resources and have most of the money. We, the people, have no control over our destiny.
The only way forward is to change the system so that money and power no longer accumulate in the hands of the few. We need to demand and fight for economic and political democracy.
There is only one way to overcome the power of the 1% and achieve system change. We need to build a mass movement that recognizes that the real fight is for democratic control of our lives, uses the power of strikes and other shut-downs leaving dead-end strategies behind, and has the solidarity to implement joint strategies. We need to be reaching out to each other and talking and listening, not canceling each other.
Gender Ideology destroys the credibility of any group that embraces it.
Those who want to bring people together to fight injustice severely damage their ability to do so when they embrace an agenda that eviscerates civil rights and harms children. Those who want to be seen as science-based and rational are instead seen as quacks and fools when they declare that men are women, sex is a spectrum, and people are born in wrong bodies.
The handwriting is already on the wall, even in the early stages of people becoming aware of what Gender Identity Ideology is and what it’s doing. As issue-focused nonprofits, political parties and socialist organizations hop on the Gender Identity bandwagon, they are losing credibility, supporters, and the capacity to carry out their agendas.
Social Justice Groups
Many social justice groups have been captured by gender ideologues and are paying a price for this.
When Friends of the Earth declared that “Some men and non-binary folx menstruate”, people rightfully asked “How are we supposed to trust their reporting on environmental issues when they sound exactly like climate change deniers?” When Extinction Rebellion (XR) tweeted that “Trans Women Are Women” and “This is not up for debate”, hundreds of people immediately responded in anger, many declaring that XR’s anti-science position on sex undermines its science-based position on climate, and they could no longer support such a group. XR removed the original tweet and all comments. It then retweeted the same message and carefully censored replies. While visual evidence of the self-harm inflicted by posting Gender Identity mantras is erased by XR’s censorship, the damage continues to occur.
Environmental groups can’t advance science-based agendas while concurrently agreeing that men are sometimes women and taking other blatantly anti-science positions. They can’t allow illogical conclusions drawn from misrepresentation of DSDs to be used to declare sex a spectrum and expect to command respect for the scientific analyses that underlay environmental agendas. They can’t embrace irrationality and expect to be seen as rational.
Nor can environmental organizations wax eloquent about the need to be “intersectional” by elevating the voices and defending the rights of marginalized communities, while concurrently embracing the Gender Identity agenda. If intersectionality is to be taken seriously, a stand must be taken against Gender Ideology, not for it. Endorsing Gender Ideology’s language and its agenda does extraordinary harm to women, gays and lesbians, people of color, indigenous communities, and children. As more and more people recognize this, they will turn away from Gender Identity-captured organizations.
Environmental groups are losing members and supporters who leave on their own or fail to join because of Gender Identity Ideology. They are also actively expelling gender critical people. At least one brilliant attorney has been fired by a major U.S. environmental organization for own-time gender critical activism. In England, long-time activist Helen Steel was kicked out of a Land Justice Network encampment because, ludicrously, her presence was said to render the encampment “unsafe” for trans-identifying individuals. The Network said that “Landcamp organizers look forward to feeding into a wide Land Justice Network safer spaces process which we hope will make clear that people involved in actively campaigning against trans rights will not be welcome at our future events.” (Note that the Network erroneously conflates defending sex-based rights with campaigning against trans rights.) All of this will get worse over time as Gender Identity Ideology continues its relentless push into the world of social justice organizations.
In short, if we want environmental groups to be effective, going along with their descent into Gender Identity is not an option. The same can be said regarding other groups working on issues such as housing, war, poverty and women’s right to an abortion. When those groups serve as mouthpieces for Gender Ideology, they sow the seeds of their own demise.
Currently, the chickens are coming home to roost with respect to Gender Identity Ideology and a woman’s right to an abortion. Many women’s rights organizations have spent time and energy in recent years promoting the rights of men to declare themselves women—time and energy that should have gone into passing federal laws protecting the right to an abortion, and building awareness on that issue. Having gutted the term “woman” and insisted that men have babies, too, it is now hard for them to make clear effective demands as attacks on a woman’s right to choose escalate, without violating their own Gender Identity language rules. Moreover, having thrown women under the bus, these groups have alienated large swaths of people who now want nothing to do with them. They have ensured that it will be harder to elect pro-choice candidates, because most of those candidates also push the regressive Gender Identity policy agenda.
Political Parties
Gender Identity Ideology has infiltrated and taken over political parties and organizations, including nearly all that claim to be on the Left side of the political spectrum. Here’s a taste of what is happening.
In the U.K.
The Labour Party
Jeremy Corbyn’s obsequious support of Gender Ideology did not help Labour in 2019 when he lost overwhelmingly to Boris Johnson (Conservative) in a Prime Minister race dominated by Brexit. Corbyn’s announcement of “he, him pronouns” was the subject of much derision on social media.
In May of 2018, more than 300 women quit the Labour Party over its decision to let men who identify as women serve in women-designated positions. In 2020, leadership contender Rebecca Long-Bailey and others signed a pledge to expel “transphobic” party members, i.e., anyone who doesn’t agree with Gender Identity Ideology. The Pledge denounced the LGB Alliance and Woman’s Place UK by name. Gender critical Labour members fought back telling Labour to “defend us or expel us.” On Twitter they used the hashtag #expelme to express their outrage. In what was described as “a growing row within the party”, they warned of the backlash that would occur if the party continued on its Gender Ideology path.
In the Party elections that followed, Keir Starmer was selected as head of Labour in a landslide victory, receiving 56.2% of the votes compared to Long-Bailey’s 27.6%. Many issues influenced this election, but Gender Identity played an important role.
Starmer is now making clear his own support for Gender Identity Ideology. Reacting to Starmer declaring that “trans women” (men who claim to be women) “are women”, J.K. Rowling tweeted “I don’t think our politicians have the slightest idea how much anger is building among women…” Rowling said that “[a]mong the thousands of letters and emails I’ve received are disillusioned members of Labour, the Greens, the Lib Dems, and the SNP [the Scottish National Party]. Women are scared, outraged and angry at the deaf ear turned to their well-founded concerns. But women are organizing.” She noted that Starmer’s remarks were “yet another indication that the Labour Party can no longer be counted on to defend women’s rights. But I repeat: women are organizing across party lines, and their resolve and their anger is growing.”
The UK Greens
The Green Party in the U.K. has also gone the way of Gender Identity Ideology and is imploding as a result. One of two co-chairs of Green Party Women is a man who identifies as a woman (Kathryn Bristow). Co-chair Emma Bateman was suspended for part of 2021 because she voiced the biological reality that “trans women” are men. After Bateman’s suspension, Bristow took control of the Party’s internal members-only discussion space for women. To “make it safe” for trans- and nonbinary-identifying people, he deleted large volumes of postings and took steps to limit future postings. This prompted resignations by long-time Green Party members and a strike by all officers of the Bridgwater and West Somerset branches. In announcing their strike, Green Party members bemoaned the fact that at the national level the Party “is so catastrophically compromised that it permits the leadership to be kidnapped and the party hijacked by a single-issue group.”
Eventually Bateman’s 2021 suspension was lifted. But the Party threatened to suspend her again which Bateman discussed in a Twitter post in October of 2021. Many party members were outraged, announcing either that they were leaving the party right away or that they would leave if Bateman were re-suspended. “This is particularly alarming for the Green Party,” one person tweeted. “Their entire existence is based on promoting the scientific evidence of climate change. Bringing their scientific competence into question will not help. There is enough anti-scientific climate denial about.” Another person noted that “Totalitarianism in the Green Party is not going to save the planet.”
In late December of 2021, Bateman was re-elected as Co-chair. Her election despite her prior suspension speaks volumes about feelings in the party about the Gender Identity take-over. In February of 2022, however, Bateman was suspended again.
Bateman isn’t the only one being suspended or hounded out of the Party. See the case of Shahrar Ali, for example.
Various other men have applied for or currently serve in woman-designated positions in the UK Green Party. In addition, the co-chairs of the Green Regional Council list themselves as “a self-identifying non-male” and “a self-identifying non-female.” These developments have prompted outrage among Party members.
And now at this writing the UK Green Party is considering a motion to ban from the Party any individual who signs the Women’s Declaration International’s Declaration on Women’s Sex-based Rights. People continue to leave the party as the result of its anti-woman, anti-rationality, authoritarian positions.
Answers to the question “What is a woman?” given by four Green Party candidates are telling. One said vaguely that people have different interpretations. Another used the fact that some women don’t have babies and are “more masculine” to dodge the question. The third said things are more complex than binary choices, so no definition was offered. The fourth said that “woman” is an attitude. A Youtube posting of the candidates’ responses prompted comments like these: “I’m embarrassed I ever voted Green.”, “This is why I’ve left the Green Party,” and “Finally lost my vote. Bye!”
In the U.S.
The Democratic Party
The Democratic Party has made promotion of Gender Identity Ideology a central plank in its platform. President Barack Obama took various steps to promote it in government programs and had his Attorney General oppose North Carolina’s attempt to defend sex-segregated bathrooms. During the last Presidential campaign, Democrats held public meetings that were dominated by Gender Identity issues with nearly all candidates enthusiastically announcing their support for throwing women under the bus and otherwise advancing Gender Ideology’s agenda. Senator Elizabeth Warren famously promised a 9-year-old girl who called herself a boy that a meeting at the White House with a new Secretary of Education was in the cards for this child should Warren win the election. No similar offer was extended to children who do not want members of the opposite sex in their bathrooms, or who oppose the intrusion of males in women-only sports. When Joe Biden took office, he immediately instituted a series of sweeping Executive Orders and Memoranda enshrining Gender Identity Ideology and eviscerating the civil rights of women, gays and children.
People who used to be loyal Democrats are furious with the party for its Gender Identity positions. They warn that “If the Republican Party manages to nominate just about anyone who is a decent human being for the presidency in 2024… many Democrats will vote Republican.”
Some party leaders are beginning to realize the folly of the Democrat’s promotion of Gender Ideology. “How are we going to talk to voters with a straight face after setting a quota for non-binary party officials,” asks one official in Alabama. “Every time another man cheats women out of their sports, Democrats lose ten House seats,” quips another Alabama party stalwart after noting that upcoming midterm elections are “going to be awful for Democrats.”
Recently, Democrat Terry McAuliffe lost in Virginia, a state he was supposed to easily win. It is generally agreed that an important factor in that outcome was McAuliffe’s dismissal of parental concerns about schools. While mainstream news outlets did not cover it, gender identity policy battles, played a key role in parental anger. In particular, in Loudoun County, parents were incensed that School Board members pushed through a policy allowing boys who identify as girls in girl’s bathrooms, with the Board proclaiming prior to passage that no assaults had ever taken place in girls’ bathrooms. In fact, a girl had recently been raped in a school bathroom by a boy, and the Board knew it.
The author has spoken with life-long left-wingers who voted for Trump specifically because of the Democrats’ Gender Identity agenda and its impact on their children. She has met numerous life-long Democrats who remain registered as such but have stopped voting Democrat because of the Party’s Gender Identity positions.
The U.S. Green Party
The U.S. Green Party is following in the disastrous footsteps of the UK Greens. In July of 2021, the Green National Committee expelled the Georgia Green Party. The Georgian group had endorsed the Declaration on Women’s Sex Based Rights. According to private communications from Green Party members, the Party is now going after anyone who agrees with the Georgia chapter. These “sectarian and ideological purges” are destroying the party, they say. Many Green Party members have resigned in protest. Reportedly, efforts are also underway to adopt policies to aid in further stamping out so-called “hateful speech” and “oppressive” behaviors. Defending women’s sex-based rights is deemed hateful and oppressive. Read the Declaration to see the reasonable statements unjustly deemed transphobic, hateful, and bigoted by the U.S. Greens.
Socialist Organizations
Even socialist groups are pushing Gender Ideology. Nearly all have adopted positions loudly embracing its toxic agenda. Party members who stand up to defend sex-based rights face censure and expulsion.
Socialists are not only abandoning women and others whose rights are being erased; they are also actively seeking to silence anyone who defends sex-based rights. In early 2020, women organized an event which took place at the Seattle Public Library focusing on Gender Ideology’s erasure of women’s rights. Socialist Alternative helped organize a rally against the event and its representatives spoke at that rally.
Jacobin Magazine —which is closely associated with the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), one of the biggest socialist organizations in the U.S.—recently published an article by Mark Montegriffo on Gender Identity issues. The piece gets things exactly wrong and puts on full display how lost socialist groups are on this issue.
Montegriffo makes no mention of any of the damage done to civil rights and children by Gender Ideology. He claims that anyone who questions the ideology is right-wing and transphobic, and repeatedly uses the slur "TERF." Having declared all gender critics right-wing, Montegriffo assigns any and all right-wing opinions to them, absurdly insinuating that all gender critics oppose Palestinian rights, for example.
Montegriffo’s piece is ignorant and misguided but he does get one thing right. He says that “TERF talking points” have become “central to the war on the ‘communist’ ‘loony left’ waged by blue-checkmark liberals and Blairite hacks.” In other words, the legitimate concerns raised by gender critics—concerns that any rational individual would share—are being used to paint socialists and socialism as nuts. Montegriffo is correct about that. When gender critics inform people about what’s happening in the name of Gender Identity, and when people hear the nonsensical statements about these issues coming out of socialist organizations, they conclude that Leftwingers — socialists in particular — are all crazy.
It is shocking that socialist groups have joined the Gender Identity bandwagon. Instead of acknowledging sexist stereotyping (“gender”) as a social construct that oppresses women, most now embrace quasi-religious personal self-declarations about gender as real, and the material reality of human bodies as socially constructed. They are openly pushing for policies that undo civil rights gains and sacrifice children to Big Money interests. They are joining in witch-hunts to silence dissenting voices. None of these positions are consistent with the core tenets of socialism.
This does not bode well for those fighting for actual socialist principles. In multiple gender critical networks the author has spoken with many people who denounce capitalism but reject socialism. They do this because they perceive socialism as anti-science, regressive and authoritarian, based on the Gender Identity stance of most socialist groups.
Gender Identity’s impact will grow.
Social justice organizations, self-proclaimed Leftwing political parties, and socialist organizations are handing the mic to gender ideologues who say things that most people find outrageous and harmful. As a result, they are losing long-time supporters and members. They are alienating people who might otherwise join their cause.
The damage is just beginning. By design, Gender Ideology policies have been advanced with great stealth. Gender ideologues have hitchhiked on popular causes and censored dissenting voices. As a result, so far, most people have been ignorant as to the true nature and consequences of Gender Identity Ideology.
But ignorance is dissipating rapidly. With each passing day, more and more people are finding out what’s going on.
Average Americans are aghast as they encounter children committed to maiming their bodies, naked men in women’s locker rooms, men trouncing women in women’s sports competitions, and school curricula telling students that it’s possible they were born in the wrong body. As people hear Democrats, Greens, socialists, environmentalists, and others insist that trans-identifying men are women, and that preschoolers must be free to declare their sex, they are justifiably outraged, and they become alienated from those pushing such harmful nonsense.
A poll of likely voters conducted on behalf of Women’s Liberation Front in 2020 shows that people overwhelmingly reject Gender Ideology, when its tenets and agenda are stated plainly. The poll found that across party lines people don’t want trans-identifying men in women’s sports and spaces. They don’t agree with hormone treatments and surgeries on people under 18. They don’t agree that parents who question the medical treatments proposed for their trans-identifying children should lose custody as a result.
Similarly, a Gallup Poll in 2021 found that 62% of U.S. adults did not think that trans-identifying athletes should be allowed to play on the opposite sex’s team.
What’s remarkable about the Gallup and Women’s Liberation Fund’s findings is that most people have not yet been exposed to the full reality of what Gender Identity Ideology is all about. The Gallup Poll even used the confusing language of gender identity, asking, for example, whether “transgender athletes” (many don’t understand that “transwomen” are men) should be allowed to play on teams that “match their current gender identity” and whether they should only be allowed to be on teams that match their “birth gender identity.” Many people don’t know what “current gender identity” and “birth gender identity” mean.
The Gallup write-up of its poll results is illustrative of the massive propaganda campaigns underway to promote Gender Identity Ideology. The Gallup author made much of the fact that the poll also found that most Americans think trans-identifying individuals should be allowed in the military and he titled his article “Mixed Views Among Americans On Transgender Issues.” He doesn’t grasp that those of us fighting Gender Identity Ideology have no interest in abridging the rights of trans-identifying people, so we defend their right to serve in the military. What we oppose is abridgment by trans-identifying individuals of the sex-based rights of other people. American’s views aren’t “mixed” or internally inconsistent, as implied in the article. They’re rational and principled.
The Gallup author also openly conflates defense of women’s sports with historical antagonism towards gays. He suggests that as people come to personally know trans-identifying people their views will change, just as people’s views on gay rights changed as they got to know gay people. Those reading the article are led to believe that failing to support men in women’s sports puts them in league with those who opposed gay rights in the past, which is blatantly false.
And yet despite all this —polls with confusing wording, and massive propaganda that hides and distorts the true nature of the Gender Identity agenda — solid majorities reject men in women’s sports and spaces. They reject the chemical and surgical alteration of children’s bodies in the name of Gender Identity. As what’s going on becomes clearer and clearer, Americans (and people elsewhere) will overwhelmingly view those who push Gender Ideology as crazy and/or incompetent, and “on the wrong side of history.”
An Opportunity
Big corporations and wealthy individuals have been calling the shots in the U.S. and around the world for a long time. As a result, economic inequity and suffering keep getting worse as the wealth gap between a few ultra-rich individuals and the rest of humanity widens. Working class people can’t get any of the policies we want put in place, even with overwhelming public support, unless the wealthy few happen to agree with those policies. (They never agree if they will lose profits or power.) As warmongers play their geopolitical games, the threat of nuclear war is rising. And on the environmental front, we have reached a crisis point. Either we make major changes, or we risk rendering our environment uninhabitable. Human extinction is now a distinct possibility.
Social justice groups—the “non-profit industrial complex”—exist to push for public-interest policies. But tied to Big Money and particular political parties and their electoral strategies, these groups are ineffective. Small gains here and there are overwhelmed by consistent losses on a grand scale.
Neither the Democrats, nor the Republicans, nor similar big business parties in other countries serve the public interest. They serve the interests of major corporations and billionaires. As power passes back and forth between corporate parties the policies desired by overwhelming majorities with respect to the environment, the economy, war, health care and other crucial issues are never adopted. The author’s book What It Will Take. Rejecting Dead-ends and False Friends in the Fight for the Earth, and prior articles delve into the painful details of this reality.
Most people know that this is how things work, and don’t like it.
When Occupy Wall Street burst onto the scene a decade ago, 44% of Americans supported its goals and 35% opposed them. According to a Pew research poll at the time, most Americans (77%) agreed that there is too much power in the hands of a few rich people and corporations.
Today seven-in-ten American adults say the economic system unfairly favors powerful interests, while less than a third say it’s generally fair to most Americans. Nearly half of middle-income Republicans or Republican-leaning individuals say the system is unfair, as do 62% of lower income Republicans/Republican-leaning individuals. In 2021, 73% of Americans were dissatisfied with the size and influence of major corporations; 42% were very dissatisfied.
Currently, 42% of Americans identify as “Independent” rather than Democrat or Republican. In most elections, the percent of eligible voters choosing not to vote is shockingly high. When a third of eligible voters failed to vote in the 2020 election, turnout was considered to be unusually large.
Gender Identity Ideology is deepening the disgust people feel regarding current political parties. In the U.K, a lot of former Labour members, former Green Party members, and others describe themselves as “politically homeless” as a direct result of Gender Ideology issues. Social media is full of hashtags like Labourlosingwomen, libdemslosingwomen and SNPleftme. Analyses of Mumsnet, a twenty-year old U.K. parenting forum where politicians go to woo women voters – show that the term “politically homeless” has become common and that Gender Identity issues are the main trigger for the alienation.
The adoption of the gender ideologue’s agenda by the majority of left and center-left political parties in the U.K. has been a turnoff for many voters. Some posting on Mumset indicate that they are no longer able to vote for their party of choice. Some who never did so in the past contemplate voting for the Conservatives. Some make voting decisions based on specific candidate’s positions on gender identity issues. Some have stated their intention to not vote at all or to spoil their ballots in protest.
In U.K. general elections prior to 2019, roughly equal numbers of men and women turned out to vote. In 2019, only 59% of women eligible to vote turned out, compared to 63% of the eligible men. The media reported on rising numbers of spoiled ballots that year, across the country. While it focused on other potential causes, social media discussions indicate that anger over gender identity policy proposals was pivotal.
As mentioned earlier, J.K. Rowling has tweeted that many people contacting her are disillusioned with UK political parties. They are working across party lines with one another, and their resolve and anger are growing.
Political homelessness also abounds in the U.S. Countless left-identifying people in multiple gender critical groups consider themselves politically homeless. Statements by left-leaning gender critics about being politically homeless are common on social media.
It is not just left-leaning individuals who feel abandoned and alienated. Many conservative Americans are not happy with the direction of the Republican Party and would consider an alternative, but there are none to be found as Gender Identity Ideology overtakes the Left.
Gender Identity Ideology has been instrumental in replacing the solidarity-building framework of “the 99% vs the 1%” and of wresting democratic control of our lives from those at the top, with an emphasis on individuals, identities, “misgendering” and how to punish so-called “hateful” people. It has begun to splinter environmental and other groups as long-time members leave in protest or are kicked out, and as potential new members, repelled by gender ideology, never join those groups.
But Gender Identity Ideology has also created an opportunity.
For a long time, corporate-controlled political parties and ineffective nonprofits have diverted people from the system change work that needs to be done. Gender Identity Ideology is so egregiously irrational and harmful, that it is acting as a harsh wake-up call for those who have put their faith, energy, time, and money into those dead-ends. People are unable to continue supporting parties and groups that embrace Gender Ideology, so they are considering other options. They are grappling with difficult questions: How did so many people end up cheering for anti-science, harmful nonsense and for things that contradict their core beliefs? How could the false narratives of Gender Identity spread so far, so fast? What other false narratives might be in play, and are the forces behind those related to the forces behind Gender Identity?
Being labeled a pariah and canceled for telling the truth about Gender Identity has also been a wake-up call for people. It provides useful perspective when they are urged to consider certain other individuals and groups off-limits. Having had their own positions misrepresented, they are less apt to obey directives to refuse to hear what those targeted for cancelation have to say. And this is a very good thing.
We are learning that powerful forces can lead people to consider friends to be enemies, and enemies to be friends. We are learning that the divisions that supposedly prevent working people from uniting for change are less real than we’d thought.
Having been denounced and shunned by self-proclaimed left-wing entities, gender critics who think of themselves as on the Left have been meeting with gender critics who think of themselves as on the Right. All are disobeying directives to ignore those “awful people” from elsewhere on the political spectrum. We are finding that we have much in common—not just on Gender Identity issues, but on other issues as well.
When the author told an audience of women from across the U.S. and across the political spectrum at a gender critical gathering in 2021 that neither the Democrats nor the Republicans serve the public interest and it is time to find a better way forward together, the room erupted in enthusiastic applause.
This is the possible silver lining of the Gender Ideology nightmare. Working people from across the political spectrum are coming together and talking. This can be a catalyst, spurring conversations on all sorts of forbidden topics. It can be the beginning of the movement-building we need to address other problems like environmental degradation, economic injustice and the threat of nuclear war.
Gender Identity Ideology is not the only issue on which people are being divided by those who count on division to stay in control. Ironically, in those other realms, by demonizing and attempting to silence those who depart from the official narrative, Big Money forces create fertile ground for people questioning a lot more than the narrative for that issue. They create conditions in which principled courageous individuals find each other and start to talk about what real change looks like and how to win it.
In contrast to those other issues, Gender Identity Ideology and its impacts have been largely hidden from general public view. Those pushing this ideology have masterfully carried out a strategy of stealth, illusion and vicious suppression of dissenting voices. But the veil is now lifting. Those who have been unaware of what’s going on, or who have been duped into thinking Gender Identity’s impacts are benign and limited, need to come up to speed on this issue. This report is designed to help them do so.
Gender Identity Ideology’s rapid rise from obscurity to dominance is a case study in what Big Money forces can do. It is so outrageously irrational, so breathtakingly destructive, and so ubiquitous in its impacts that it packs a powerful wake-up punch.
Gender critics and those dissenting from Big Money-backed narratives on other fronts need to connect, listen and build forward. At the core of the coalitions we form, we must place a commitment to free speech, open fact-based debate, rational analysis, and addressing the systemic roots of the madness unfolding all around us.

Carol, what you have created here is in my opinion, the holy grail of information and resources on this topic. I have been deep diving into this issue for 2 years and have spent thousands of hours reading scientific literature, articles, books and blogs, listening to podcasts, watching documentaries and other videos etc. None even come close to the scope of this. Thank you so much for compiling all this evidence and information and writing so accessibly. You deserve a PhD for the amount of research you have put into this and the expert knowledge you have. Sister, I salute you!
"Those who want to be seen as science-based and rational are instead seen as quacks and fools when they declare that ..." the pandemic was not real (0.00something% letality rate) and that vaccines are not such, but mRNA based experimental drugs, an experiment that has outrageously failed
