Jenny Poyer Ackerman recently interviewed me for her podcast show UnMuted, and that interview is now up on her TransMuted substack. Follow this link (or click the episode below to listen to our free-flowing discussion about the damage done by gender identity ideology, the roots of that ideology’s take-over, the democracy problem that underlies what’s been happening, the silver linings of our current nightmare, and how young people are denied important information about past civil rights struggles when people like me are demonized. Jenny and I also discuss how the Unitarians kicked Bruce and me out of a community we adored. I describe the pain we are feeling at the one year anniversary of our banishment.
By the way, since I spoke with Jenny, I’ve learned that another woman at the female prison in Purdy, WA has been assaulted by a trans-identifying male housed there. I mention this because Purdy is 30 miles away from the family camp that kicked us out. And the assault happened the very week our former friends were enjoying themselves at camp without us. They were no doubt very pleased with themselves for eliminating any risk of the real-world consequences of sex self-ID being mentioned at camp. For more on men in women’s prisons and the situation at Purdy, see my article, Males Pour Into Women’s Prisons, As Progressives Look Away.
I’m working on an article to post here about the current political situation and the path forward on various issues humanity is facing. I’ve also been recording some of the songs I’ve written over the course of my life which I hope to share via this substack or elsewhere. I’m happy to report that after a multi-year gap, I’m back in the songwriting saddle, even obsessively so! The song that’s making its way into the world through me right now is an anthem for everyone who’s stood up to the bullies that dominate various political fronts.
Here is the latest data on the sexual assaults, physical assaults and narcissistic abuse of women attempting to get out, and now out of marriages with men who ideate a female persona.

Hi Carol. Thank you for sending your substack item to me. As a fellow Seattleite I have followed your work and forwarded your pieces to as many people as possible. Recently I have spent a month or so giving away my nearly half-a-century in the making home library collection to local independent bookstores. (Got the idea from my mentor at the University of Chicago, Marshall Sahlins, who arranged to have his home library sent to a University in South America upon his death). The only thing I have asked for in return is that they display a complimentary copy of my book about Seattle Pacific University--Paradise Joe's. . . . An Exploration into the Meaning and Significance of American Evangelicalism--the only true story about the place ever written. And that they order a replacement if/when it sells (which quite a few shop owners tell me it has).
I would appreciate it if you would acknowledge and promote my substack, as I have done yours.
